UPDATE (2008-07-16 09:03 AM CEST)
Whew... Most of the work seems to be done now. I still need to go over all my previous posts and re-format some of them, and maybe add a few new widgets. That'll have to wait though as I have to leave now and go to our summer cottage to take care of the place (and the cat) while my parents come back to Budapest and visit an eye-specialist.
I don't know when I'll be back; hopefully in a few days. In the meantime, let me know if you have any (I repeat, ANY) observations regarding the new look and functionality of my blog either here or in the poll on the right. Thank you!
Have a nice week!
This is to let all my friends, readers and visitors know that Binary Star will be going under construction from today till probably tomorrow morning.
During this time the blog will probably be unavailable and difficult (in some cases downright impossible) to navigate.
I will try to work as quickly as possible (I don't want to pull an "Everyday Minerals" on you...), but there are many things that need to be ironed out before I can finally announce the end of the makeover.
Saying goodbye to my old template and my old blog is kinda heart-wrenching for me, but I really think it's time that Binary Star got revamped and that I add some new functions and a new look. I'm hoping it'll be more practical and more user friendly, and most of all, easier to overview at a glance. It won't be perfect (what is?), there are some compromises I have to make, but I really think it'll pay off in the long run.
I know it's difficult to adjust to new things for most of us, so I'm sorry in advance for the discomfort the many changes here will probably cause you my friends. I only hope the benefits of the new look will soon make up for it.
So I hereby ask for your patience, and I promise I'll work as fast as I possibly can. (I'm doing this in my 2 week summer holiday so I can spend as much time doing this as I have to.)
If you can't find something during this time, don't be sad, it'll probably appear again, so do check back later.
